Kernal is a coding agent that runs in your terminal, or straight off a floppy. Outfitter is where a fleet of them lives in the cloud: they work on their own, sleep when idle, and hand a session back to your laptop whenever you want it.

Kernal

The agent on your machine. One command, three backends, switched with /connect:

  • LOCAL Models on your own hardware through LM Studio (MLX).
  • ROUTER The shared LiteLLM router, with spend tracked per key.
  • OPENROUTER Anything else, on your own key.

Outfitter

The fleet in the cloud. Each agent, a Guru, gets its own sandbox and repo checkout.

  • WAKE Sandboxes start on demand and stop when idle, so a quiet fleet costs close to nothing.
  • STEER Watch and steer every session live from the browser.
  • TELEPORT Pull a session down to your laptop and send it back up.
